Laminate closet makeover with chalk paint
Hello there, a few weeks ago we posted another laminate makeover a dresser and here is its other half. A bigger project but now we have more experience and its easier to make it.
Here is the closet before, the same boring color...
First we cleared everything off, removed all the old hardware, pulled out all the drawers and sanded it down.
We didn't make the same mistake again and we made sure to prime it first, so as to secure the chalk paint and avoid scratches. Then we mixed the paint we chose, with some unsanded grout to make the chalk paint look.
Sanded it again, applied the second coat of paint and in the end we gave it a coat of wax.
We used the old hardware by just spraying them over with a paint coat.
And here is before and after. The room now looks even bigger than before!
We really really love furniture rehab with chalk paint look.
